Aloha Performing Arts Company will resume its program of theater education for people of all ages in the new year.

Robin Noyes will conduct her Keiki Theater Class for ages 4 through 7 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 6 to 27. This session will involve creating and performing with sock puppets.

APAC artistic director Jerry Tracy teaches Tuesday Troupers, a performance skills class for 8- through 12-year-olds from 3:30 t0 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 7 through Feb. 11.

An Intergenerational Acting Class for people of all ages and skill levels is led by Felicity Johnson from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursdays.

These three classes are based on a $10 per class tuition. Each class is held at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu and will culminate in a free public sharing performance on the final class day.

In addition, Aloha Teen Theatre, with adviser Roxanne Fox, meets from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Fridays at APAC’s Loft, across the street from the theater on the second floor of the building which also houses The King’s Daughters Thrift Shop. Involvement in this group is free and features educational and performance opportunities for teenagers, as well as fundraising activities to finance off-island theater field trips.
